Got a few things done on my 2013 to do list (see previous post for updates typed in red).
Things done that were not on to do list: moved fern from in front of picture window to right of hydrangea in front garden. It fills in a blank spot nicely. Will have to see how it likes this new location.
Moved lily (which was previously hidden behind camellia on the right - picture window) to the now free space (where fern was) between the two camellias.
Purchased Princess Alexandra of Kent David Austin rose and Belinda's Dream floribunda rose today at Gazebo Gardens. Will plant them tomorrow.

Although I've been growing roses since 2005, my online photo journal begins in 2009 and will be added to as my garden progresses. My favorite roses are David Austin English Roses (DA) in every shade of pink.

Climate Zone 8 - Cold-air Basins of California's Central Valley.
Growing season is mid-February through November. This is a valley floor with no coastal influence. Summers are hot (temps get well into the 100's); winter lows range from 29 degrees to 13 degrees F/-2 degrees to -11 degrees C. Rain comes in the cooler months, covering just the early part of the growing season.
